The historical town of Châlus (where Richard The Lionheart was fatally shot by an arrow) is 10km away. The capital of the department is Limoges which is about three quarters of an hour by car. Limoges is a cosmopolitan and vibrant city with all the facilities and entertainment you would expect.
Limoges airport is about one hour away and is serviced by Ryanair, with flights to Liverpool and Stansted Airports.
